Two Men released on Bail following Fatal Fareham Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Fareham in the early hours of Friday, 11 August. Officers were called shortly after midnight to reports of a collision involving a Peugeot 206 and a pedestrian on Highlands Road. Police attended the scene, where the 23-year-old male pedestrian from Fareham was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A 23-year-old man from Fareham and a 25-year-old man from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have been released from custody but remain under investigation. Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and we would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
