An urgent ‘do not eat alert’ has been issued following the recall of Magnum Classic ice creams over fears they may contain pieces of metal.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) released the warning this evening, targeting three packs of Magnum Classic Ice Cream. Consumers are urged to check for products with a best-before date of 11/2025 and specific batch codes – L3324, L3325, L3326, L3327, or L3328.
In a product recall notice issued by Unilever, the company behind Magnum, it was stated: “Magnum is taking the precautionary measure of recalling a limited number of Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks 3x100ml due to internal safety checks showing that they may contain small pieces of metal.
A Unilever spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to consumer safety, stating: “The safety of the people that buy and use our products is always our number one priority which is why we are recalling these products.”
Affected consumers are advised to refrain from consuming the recalled ice cream and return the product for a refund. Unilever has assured customers that no other Magnum products are affected by this issue.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation,” the spokesperson added.
