Walker fighting for their life after being struck by a car in Southampton

Police are currently dealing with a collision between a pedestrian and a car on Townhill Way, Southampton, at about 8.22pm this evening (Tuesday 12 September). The pedestrian was taken to Southampton General Hospital and is in a critical condition. The Forensic Collision Investigation unit is currently on the scene and the road is closed between Meggeson Ave and Mousehole Lane. Diversions are in place and we’d advise motorists to avoid the area if possible.
