A 19-year-old woman has tragically died following a brutal dog attack at a house in Essex.
Emergency Called to Leaden Roding Property
Emergency services rushed to a home in Long Hide, Leaden Roding, at around 10.45pm on Friday, 10 April. Officers found the young woman with serious injuries. Despite frantic efforts by paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dog Seized, Man Arrested Over Deadly Attack
Initial investigations suggest the woman was attacked by a dog inside the property. Specialist officers secured the area and seized the animal involved. A 37-year-old man from Dunmow has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, causing injury resulting in death. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Police Urge Locals to Come Forward
Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper said: “I know this incident will be a shock to the local community. My thoughts, and those of us all at Essex Police, are with the loved ones of the woman who died yesterday.” “We will have officers in the area throughout today, so please come and speak to them if you have any information or have any concerns. Experienced detectives are leading the investigation to understand exactly what has happened.”
Essex Police have appealed for anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam, or any footage to contact them, quoting incident 1419 of 10 April.
