Woman found by Dog walking Pair on East Cowes Beach is Very Lucky

Two dog walkers have been praised by Police after spotting a woman who was asleep under a blanket on a beach at East Cowes this evening. (Friday July 14th). The pair spotted the woman who is understood to have been in drink whilst out walking their dog under a blue blanket. Despite their pleas for her to wake up she didn’t and remained on her back with the incoming tide by her feet. On calling the Police the tide had now got to her waist by the arrival of officers from Hampshire ans Isle of Wight Police. Officers who attended the incident have praised the pair’s action and said She was very lucky we noticed her and called them because it could have easily been a dead body by the morning.
Police have spoken to the woman who seem to be in a bit of shock following the incident and officers have since led to to safety. More to Follow
