A woman in her 50s has tragically died following a massive six-vehicle crash on the M40 near the village of Gaydon, Warwickshire. Police have launched a manhunt for a 23-year-old driver who allegedly fled the scene on foot after the fatal collision.
The incident occurred on Saturday night, involving a Peugeot van and five other vehicles. When emergency services arrived at the scene, they found that one of the drivers had fled. The woman who lost her life in the crash has not been named, but her family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.
Police are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of the crash, the Peugeot van, or its manner of driving prior to the collision to come forward.
