In a shocking incident, two burglars forcefully entered a residence in Denning Mews, Greetham Street, Southsea, and threatened a male occupant with a knife before making off with thousands of pounds in cash. The terrifying ordeal unfolded at approximately 3:15 AM on Saturday, December 16.

According to the police report, the two assailants woke the victim with loud banging at his front door, eventually gaining entry to the house. Once inside, the intruders proceeded to the 54-year-old man’s bedroom, where they brandished a knife and demanded money. Fearing for his safety, the victim complied, surrendering his substantial savings.

Following the harrowing incident, the victim ventured out onto Greetham Street in search of assistance. He encountered two women who advised him to contact the police immediately. Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police believe that these women may possess crucial information about the incident. They are urging the women to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.

In a statement, the police stated, “Officers have only recently received information about the victims’ interaction with these women and are keen to speak to them. It is possible they may have seen the offenders leaving the address and could have vital information to help our investigation.”
