Big Brother Returns: New Series on ITV Set to “Raise the Bar” with New Tasks

Big Brother fans are in for a treat as the iconic reality TV show returns to ITV on Sunday, October 6. The upcoming series promises to take the show to new heights, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best teasing a fresh lineup of exciting tasks designed to “raise the bar.

Following last year’s successful civilian series, which saw Jordan Sangha crowned as the winner, and an all-star celebrity edition, Big Brother is back for another season of drama, competition, and unexpected twists.

The popular duo, AJ Odudu and Will Best are returning for their third series as hosts and are enthusiastic about what’s in store for the contestants and fans this time around. Speaking with the Mirror, Will shared his excitement: “I’m excited about the tasks this year. They were incredible last series, but I think they’re gonna raise the bar even further this time around.” The show, famous for its entertaining challenges, is expected to be even more demanding, making life tougher yet more engaging for the housemates.

ITV has also given fans a sneak peek into the newly designed house, which features a bold and colourful theme, incorporating shades of purple, pink, orange, yellow, and blue. A first-look teaser showed guinea pigs running freely in Britain’s most iconic house, hinting at what contestants will have to deal with beyond each other.

In conversation with the media, Will Best also reminisced about his favourite Big Brother tasks from the past, including the “sit in the box” challenge for its simplicity and humour, and the “ignore the obvious” task, where housemates had to ignore various unexpected events around them. These types of tasks have been a hallmark of the show, testing the patience and adaptability of housemates, much to the amusement of the audience.

Not only will AJ and Will host the main show and eviction nights, but they will also present the spin-off series, “Big Brother’s Late and Live,” where they will be joined by celebrity guests to discuss the latest happenings inside the house. The spin-off will provide deeper insight and lively discussions on the events unfolding each night.

For die-hard Big Brother enthusiasts, the much-loved livestream feature is also making a comeback. Fans will once again have the opportunity to tune into ITVX seven nights a week to keep up with the housemates’ every move.

The series will air on ITV2 and ITVX, kicking off with the launch episode at 9 pm on Sunday, October 6. As anticipation grows, viewers can expect more surprises, unexpected alliances, and plenty of drama as the Big Brother house opens its doors once again.
