Arrest Made in Ashford Voyeurism Investigation as Police Appeal for Witnesses

 

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism following two reported incidents at public toilets in New Rents, Ashford, Kent Police have confirmed.

The disturbing incidents are said to have occurred around 1:50 PM on Friday, 28 March 2025, when a mobile phone was reportedly seen being held over cubicle partitions in the gentlemen’s public toilets.

Officers arrested the suspect later that day. He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.

Police Appeal for Information

Kent Police are now seeking witnesses or anyone with information who may have seen the incidents or experienced similar occurrences in the area.

A spokesperson said:

“We are continuing to investigate two reports of voyeurism in New Rents, Ashford. We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or who has any relevant information to get in touch.”

Kent Police are urging the public to report any suspicious behaviour in public toilets or other private spaces immediately.
