Brokedown horse box causes traffic chaos on Dartford crossing

Traffic is queueing after a broken down horsebox called traffic chaos on the Essex bound Dartford tunnel crossing this afternoon. Traffic officers from highways England assisted in recovering a broken down horsebox broke down on the exit slip of the Dartford Crossing just after 1:20 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Drivers queueing to use the Dartford tunnel crossing have reported jams of up to 5 miles on approach to the tunnels after traffic was stopped for approximately 20 minutes whilst the vehicle was recovered to a safe place.
