In a technological extravaganza at CES 2024, LG Display, a pioneer in display technologies, is set to showcase its latest OLED products featuring proprietary technology aimed at redefining customer experiences. The company’s presence at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) includes two booths – a main booth in the North Hall and an exclusive booth dedicated to automotive displays in the West Hall.
Under the theme “A Better Future,” LG Display aims to highlight its cutting-edge OLED technologies capable of revolutionising consumer lifestyles. The main North Hall booth will feature large-sized OLED technologies that surpass existing limits in picture quality. This encompasses OLED TVs, gaming monitors, and Transparent OLEDs, with a special focus on LG Display’s latest OLED TV panel, boasting significant enhancements through the innovative ‘META Technology.’
Introduced last year, ‘META Technology’ combines ‘Micro Lens Array (MLA)’ with a brightness-enhancing algorithm to achieve unparalleled brightness levels. The company’s gaming OLED lineup, including the world’s first 480Hz ultra-high refresh rate 27-inch QHD gaming OLED panel, promises an optimal gaming experience with smooth visuals and ultra-fast screen transitions.
In the Transparent OLED segment, LG Display will present a full lineup, ranging from 30 to 77 inches, creating unique applications for retail spaces. Transparent OLEDs seamlessly replace glass windows, providing design flexibility, accurate colour expression, and lower heat generation compared to conventional LEDs.
The West Hall booth will focus on LG Display’s automotive display solutions, including the ultra-large ‘Pillar-to-Pillar (P2P)’ display optimised for Software Defined Vehicles (SDV). This solution integrates a ‘12.3-inch P-OLED’ dashboard display and a’34-inch P-OLED’ centre screen for a sleek dashboard design. Additionally, the ’48-inch P2P LTPS LCD’ offers an expansive screen displaying useful driving information and entertainment features.
To enhance in-car experiences, LG Display introduces innovations like the ’17-inch Foldable OLED’ for Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and the ’18-inch Slidable OLED’ hidden in the ceiling. The ‘Thin Actuator Sound Solution’ provides a richer, more immersive sound experience with minimal weight and thickness.
Moreover, LG Display showcases aesthetic enhancements, including the ‘Under Display’ technology concealing cameras and ‘Decorative Film’ that transforms screens into interior materials when inactive.
With these innovations, LG Display aims to strengthen its business competitiveness, offering differentiated products and technologies that unlock new experiences for consumers worldwide. The company envisions a future where its advancements contribute to a better and more immersive technological landscape.
