In the wake of the recent protests by Just Stop Oil activists, a total of 44 individuals have been charged with various offences. The arrests were made by officers on Monday, 6 November, resulting in charges for the activists involved. Among those charged, Harrison Donnelly, 20, of Sillitoe Way, Nottingham, and Hanan Ameur, 22, of Hornsey Road, Islington, were charged with criminal damage after vandalising the protective glass of a painting at the National Gallery.

Although the historic painting sustained minimal damage, it is currently undergoing conservation treatment to restore its original condition. The remaining 42 activists were charged with obstruction of the highway due to their involvement in two slow marches along Whitehall.
