Katie Price has introduced a new addition to her family—a £800 Sphynx cat named Daisy—despite her controversial history with pets and mounting criticism from animal welfare groups. The former glamour model, 46, shared photos of herself tenderly embracing her new kitten, just weeks after revealing her previous cat had to be put down due to illness.

Price, who has faced multiple tragedies involving her pets over the past six years, continues to draw backlash from animal rights groups, including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The organization previously offered her £5,000 if she agreed to stop acquiring new pets, expressing concerns that she treats animals as “disposable toys.”
Despite these incidents, Katie continues to introduce new pets to her home, much to the dismay of her critics. PETA reiterated their £5,000 offer in hopes that she would reconsider acquiring any more animals. “Shame on Price and the greedy breeders who keep selling or gifting animals to her as promotions,” the organization stated.

Katie has yet to publicly respond to PETA’s latest criticisms. However, a spokesperson for the star has previously claimed that Price has reached out to PETA for direct conversations, which the organization has reportedly declined in favor of public statements.

With Katie Price’s turbulent history with pets continuing to spark debate, it remains to be seen whether she will heed the advice of animal rights groups or maintain her tradition of bringing new animals into her household.
