The iconic Red Nose Day returned on Friday night with a bang, raising an incredible £34,022,590 for Comic Relief 2025. The charity fundraiser, broadcast live from Salford’s MediaCity, combined comedy, entertainment, and heartfelt appeals to support people facing poverty, hunger, and hardship across the UK and around the world.
Other segments included themed appearances from Strictly Come Dancing, Gladiators, and Beyond Paradise, as Red Nose Day continued its tradition of blending humour with heartfelt storytelling.

A Nation Comes Together for Good

The total raised—just over £34 million—will go toward Comic Relief’s life-changing projects that provide food, healthcare, shelter, and support to those most in need.

Samir Patel, Chief Executive of Comic Relief, said:

“On behalf of us all, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your extraordinary efforts have helped raise £34,022,590 that will help tackle some of the most urgent problems facing millions of people here in the UK and across the world.
The kindness we’ve seen is nothing short of incredible, and every donation, big or small, reminds us that when we come together, we can help inspire real and meaningful change.”

Celebrating 40 Years of Comic Relief

This year also marks 40 years since Comic Relief was founded. Over the decades, the initiative has raised more than £1.6 billion, supporting over 100 million people globally.

Veteran comedian and Comic Relief co-founder Sir Lenny Henry was honoured during the show, reflecting on four decades of using laughter to drive change. “The power of laughter to change lives remains as true today as it did in 1985,” he said.

A Legacy of Hope and Humour

Red Nose Day 2025 served not only as a night of entertainment but also as a powerful reminder of the impact communities, schools, workplaces, and families can have when united by compassion.
