Fans of the iconic British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous are in for a treat as the stars of the show reunite for the first time since 2016 for a one-off special. Jennifer Saunders, Dame Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, and Jane Horrocks will come together to reminisce about their time working on the 90s hit show in a new programme titled Absolutely Fabulous: Inside Out.
The special will pay tribute to June whitfield/" title="Whitfield" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="26403">Whitfield, who played the beloved character Mother and passed away in 2018 at the age of 93. Ab Fab, as it is affectionately known among fans, first premiered on UK screens in 1992 and ran until 2003. The series follows the antics of PR boss Edina, portrayed by Saunders, and retired model Patsy, played by Dame Joanna, as they navigate their hedonistic lifestyle in London, often leading to personal crises that are humorously resolved by Edina’s sensible daughter Saffy, played by Sawalha. Horrocks brought additional comic relief as Edina’s ditzy personal assistant, Bubble.
