Dalyte Ochremciu, a 35-year-old resident of Harper Road in Elephant and Castle, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to shoplifting. The court heard that Ochremciu was captured on CCTV at the TK Maxx store on Lombard Street, near Fenchurch Street, on April 25.
According to prosecutor Jonathan Bryan, Ochremciu was observed picking up perfume, a handbag, and two pairs of trousers. She then entered the changing rooms but only returned to the staff with the trousers, claiming that was all she had. Security staff attempted to stop her as she exited the store, but she managed to leave. However, she was subsequently apprehended by the police, who discovered several stolen items in her bag, which was lined with foil.
