Katie Price, the former glamour model and reality TV star, is facing eviction from her Horsham property, dubbed the “Mucky Mansion,” after being served with a notice to vacate. The distressing news comes in the wake of her second bankruptcy declaration and her failure to attend court hearings.

Price, 45, acquired the property in West Sussex for £1.35 million in 2014. However, the mansion fell into disrepair, prompting her to embark on a renovation project featured in her Channel 4 show, “Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion,” in 2022.

Price received an eviction notice from Horsham County Court, dated 24 April, setting the eviction for 29 May 2024 at 10 am. The notice instructs Price and any other occupants to vacate the premises before the specified time.

The eviction notice follows Price’s failure to address her financial obligations, particularly her unpaid tax bill amounting to over £750,000. Despite warnings from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Price has reportedly not made any efforts to settle the outstanding debt, leading to the court’s decision to enforce the eviction.

In response to inquiries, Price’s spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

This latest development adds to Price’s ongoing legal and financial troubles. Despite claiming mental health issues as the reason for her absence from court hearings, Price faces the threat of arrest if she fails to comply with court orders regarding her bankruptcy proceedings.

Price’s turbulent financial history includes previous bankruptcy declarations in 2019 and 2024, stemming from unpaid taxes and debts amounting to millions of pounds. Her failure to appear at court hearings has drawn criticism, with legal representatives emphasizing the seriousness of her situation and the need for compliance with court directives.

The eviction from her Horsham property marks a significant setback for Price, who has been candid about her struggles with mental health and financial instability in recent years. As she grapples with the prospect of losing her home, Price’s fans and critics alike await further developments in her ongoing legal battles.

Katie Price’s Troubled Financial Past:

  • 2019: Declared bankrupt with debts of £3.2 million from her company, Jordan Trading Ltd.
  • 2022: Bankruptcy was declared again due to an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05.
  • March 2024: Court orders eviction from Mucky Mansion after failure to settle debts.

Price’s journey from fame to financial hardship serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of mismanagement and the importance of addressing financial obligations promptly.
