Knife-wielding gang behind terrifying Ashford burglary jailed for 12 years
Midnight horror as thieves target sleeping victim
In the early hours of Saturday 20 July 2024, an armed robbery shook Ashford. Three men broke into a home at around 3am while the resident slept on his sofa. He woke to find a man looming over him with a knife, threatening and punching him as two others ransacked the property.
Victim bound and battered but escapes clutches of criminals
During the terrifying ordeal, the victim was repeatedly pressed to reveal the location of valuables. His hands were bound with tape, but despite his injuries, he managed to break free and flee the house while the thieves’ backs were turned.
Designer gear, cash and car stolen in botched raid
The crooks fled in the victim’s car, making off with designer clothes, jewellery, cash, and his mobile phone.
Justice served: Three men locked up, fourth cleared
Kent police quickly arrested four suspects. After investigation, charges were brought against three men:
- Sukhjeevan Singh, 27, of Gascoyne Road, London
- Luca Gentry-Prosper, 19, of Ash House, London
- Adheem Misson, 20, of Telscombe Cliffs Way, Peacehaven, East Sussex
The fourth suspect was cleared and released.
All three pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court in December 2025. On Tuesday 2 December, Gentry-Prosper and Misson were jailed for six years each. Singh dodged immediate jail but received a two-year suspended sentence on Wednesday 3 December.
