Taxi Driver Faces Racist Assault After Mask Row in Torquay

Police swooped on Belgrave Road, Torquay, after a racially aggravated attack went down around 5.35pm on Tuesday, April 20.

A local taxi driver was racially abused after asking a passenger to put on a face mask.

Man Arrested Over Racist Assault

Officers arrested a 48-year-old Torquay man on suspicion of racially aggravated assault by beating and a public order offence. He’s now released under investigation while inquiries continue.
