The men were arrested within 30 minutes of an incident in Larkfield, where
it is alleged five handsets were stolen after they were pulled from a
display at a 1 supermarket.
Police were called to the Lunsford Park store at 4.23pm on Saturday 29
October 2022. It is reported a member of staff was threatened when attempts
were made to challenge the suspects as they left the premises. Officers
quickly identified a vehicle linked to the offences, which was tracked and
followed by patrols to a location in Sidcup. Both the driver and passenger
were arrested.
Ion Ion, 29, of Roxwell Road, Barking, Greater London and Samson Busuioc,
27, of Green Lane, Dagenham, 1 were later charged with theft.
They are both bailed to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ 1 on 28
November.
