Quick-Thinking Cops Nab Phone Thieves Within 30 Minutes
Two men were arrested just half an hour after a brazen phone theft at a supermarket in Larkfield.
Shock Theft at Lunsford Park Store
On Saturday 29 October 2022, at 4.23pm, police were called to the Lunsford Park store following reports that five handsets were ripped from a display. Staff were threatened as they tried to stop the suspects fleeing the scene.
High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Sidcup
Officers swiftly traced a vehicle linked to the stolen phones. After tracking it, patrols followed the car to Sidcup, where both the driver and passenger were arrested without incident.
Suspects Charged and Bailed
- Ion Ion, 29, from Roxwell Road, Barking, Greater London
- Samson Busuioc, 27, from Green Lane, Dagenham
Both men have been charged with theft and are bailed to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 28 November.
