Drug Dealer Fed £20k Cash Plea – Must Hand Over or Face Jail
Brandon Tucker has been hit with a cash confiscation order after cops found he was pocketing £20,824 from illegal drug sales. The 28-year-old was forced to cough up the money at Canterbury Crown Court on 9 October 2020.
Proceeds of Crime Act Clamps Down
The order came under the tough Proceeds of Crime Act after Kent and Essex Serious Crime financial investigators tracked down Tucker’s drug profits. He now has just three months to hand over the cash or face more jail time.
17 Months Behind Bars for Big Cannabis Haul
Tucker was originally caught in September 2018 at his Folkestone home in Enbrook Road. Police swooped and found a stash of cannabis along with stacks of cash. He pled guilty to possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply and was sentenced to 17 months in prison.
Police Say Justice Served
“This shows the power of the Proceeds of Crime Act and the skill of our financial investigators who make sure criminals don’t profit from their crimes,” said Detective Chief Inspector Patrick Milford.
“Tucker made money out of illegal drug dealing, and it would be wrong for him to keep those gains after serving time. This cash will now be pumped back into policing and the justice system.”
