The hit Channel 4 show, Married at First Sight UK, has once again stirred up controversy as it was revealed that contestant Luke Worley has been expelled from the program following a physical altercation with fellow participant Jordan Gayle.
Producers of the show took swift action, removing Luke from the competition immediately after his altercation sent shockwaves through the cast and crew.
As a consequence of this decision, Luke’s on-screen marriage to Jay Howard, which had been a focal point of the show, has also come to an end.
While tensions had been simmering between Luke and Jordan during the course of the show, the physical confrontation took everyone by surprise.
An insider from the show disclosed that “Luke and Jordan struggled to get along from the moment they met, but no one was expecting them to clash like they eventually did. The cast attended a couples‘ retreat, and during dinner, things got particularly heated between them, eventually leading to a physical altercation inside Jordan’s apartment.
Channel 4 had little choice but to remove Luke from the program, adhering to the show’s rules that contestants enter and exit as couples. The entire incident was captured on camera, raising the possibility that it might be featured in the most explosive scenes ever aired on Married At First Sight UK.
As of now, it remains uncertain whether the altercation footage will be aired, but the incident has undoubtedly added an unexpected twist to the reality TV show.
