Fire Crews called to Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup after a blaze rips through the incinerator area

A significant fire broke out this afternoon at Queen Mary’s Hospital (QMH) in Sidcup on Frognal Avenue in Sidcup Emergency services were alerted to the incident, and a six-pump fire response was swiftly initiated.

The fire, which started in the basement incinerator area, prompted the implementation of the basement procedure Due to the nature of the fire and the potential hazardous materials involved,

Emergency teams, including six fire engines, responded rapidly to tackle the blaze and ensure the safety of hospital staff and patients.
