Paedophile Terence Lewis Jailed Nearly a Decade in Horrific Child Abuse Case

Terence Raymond Lewis, from Bolton Street, Blackpool, has been locked up for 9 years and 9 months, with an extra three-year licence period, after a major probe by Stockport’s Child Protection Investigation Unit. The depraved predator pleaded guilty on 12 June 2024 to 19 counts of child sexual offences, including online grooming, abduction, and inciting sexual activity with a child.

Hotel Staff’s Quick Thinking Nabs Paedophile

On 7 January 2024, a hotel receptionist in Stockport spotted something suspicious when Lewis checked in with a young girl. The receptionist alerted police immediately, leading to Lewis’s arrest and the safeguarding of the victim.

Lewis had groomed the vulnerable 14-year-old girl online since she was just 11. He posed as a teenage boy using fake photos to lure her in on a children’s chat forum. Police found thousands of messages and images on his devices, uncovering the full scale of his crimes.

Detectives Praise Hotel Staff and Warn Off Other Offenders

Police Constable Kenneally, Stockport Child Protection Unit: “Lewis is a narcissistic, callous predator. His sentence reflects the terrible abuse he caused. We hope it sends a message to other offenders that they will be caught and prosecuted.”
