Romford man locked up for threatening to kill woman in shocking domestic drama
Christopher Keeble Jailed for Threatening to Kill
Christopher Keeble, 47, from Lower Bedfords Road, Romford, has been sentenced to seven months in jail after terrifying a woman with threats to kill during a domestic incident earlier this year.
Keeble faced Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on February 19, just three days after the incident. He pleaded guilty to making threats to kill and criminal damage.
Threats Made in Front of Child, Door Smashed
Court papers revealed the chilling threats were made in a domestic setting and in the presence of a child, intensifying the seriousness of the case. Keeble also admitted smashing the woman’s door during the same February 16 incident.
Custodial Sentence Deemed Only Option
On March 17, magistrates ruled that the severity of Keeble’s actions left no choice but to send him to prison. Alongside the jail term, he was slapped with a four-year restraining order banning any contact with the victim.
“This was a serious case involving threats to life in a domestic context. The sentence reflects the gravity of the offence and the need to protect the victim and others involved,” a court spokesperson said.
