Aldi, the budget-friendly supermarket, has issued an urgent emergency recall for a popular Christmas product, warning customers of a potential injury risk. The affected product is the Lacura Cozmo His 100ml & Lacura Cozmo Hers 100ml perfume bottles, which are being recalled due to a packaging fault that could cause the glass bottles to break.

The fragrance duo, part of Aldi’s health and beauty brand Lacura, was launched earlier this month and quickly gained popularity among shoppers who found it to be an affordable alternative to luxury perfumes by Paco Rabanne. Priced at only £6.99, the fragrances hit the shelves on December 10, making them an attractive choice for Christmas gifts, especially with savings of up to 94% compared to designer alternatives.

Aldi has urged customers who may have purchased these products to return them to their nearest store for a full refund. To determine if their product is affected by the recall, customers should check the barcode on the item. The barcode for Lacura Cozmo His 100ml is 406145990184, and for Lacura Cozmo Hers 100ml, it is 4061459901863.

As a precautionary measure, Aldi has removed the fragrances from sale in stores and is recalling all affected products. The recall notice states that the recall is due to a fault that may cause the glass bottle to break. Aldi apologized for the inconvenience and assured customers that the product did not meet their normal high standards.

When initially launched, Aldi described these cruelty-free fragrances as a great gift option for loved ones or a new signature scent for the festive season. The Lacura Cozmo for Him Eau de Parfum was described as a bold and refined scent with notes of vanilla, lemon zest, lavender, smoke, patchouli, and vetiver. The Her Eau de Parfum featured hints of mango, bergamot, jasmine, vanilla, and sandalwood for an empowered and sensual finish.

Customers who have purchased these products are encouraged to return them promptly for a refund, and Aldi appreciates their cooperation in this matter.
