A serving British Transport Police officer will appear at court charged in connection to two incidents of sexual grooming

Police Sergeant James Chatfield, 36, based in London, is charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. The charges relate to two incidents on the 23 and 26 September 2022 while off duty. He is currently suspended from duty and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 18 November.
