A major blaze is being tackled by seven fire appliances and thirty five firefighters in the Portsmouth this morning. Fire crews from Southsea,Cosham and Portchester where mobilsed to the blaze just after 8.30am on Saturday.

Residents on the Isle of Wight are being asked not to speculate on the circumstances after the body of a man was found. Officers from Hampshire Constabulary said the death is not being treated as suspicious and they are preparing a file on behalf of the Isle of Wight coroner.
