Last Seen Leaving Home Without Phone or Bank Card

Lily left her house at 2.30pm on Wednesday but never returned. She was reported missing that evening. Her mum, Joanna Swindin, said she was  a “smart and witty” daughter left her phone and Bankbank card behind, making it unlikely she planned to meet anyone.

Family Pleads for Answers

“Recently she got upset very easily and we can’t think of anywhere she would go. Family, friends and police have been searching through the night. Lily is so smart and witty. Lily is a very sceptical person, so I doubt she would meet up with someone. She avoids public transport and social situations. She likes routine. All the neighbours know she leaves at exactly the same time every day for her walks. She eats at the same time and showers at the same time. She’s not a very social girl but has a heart of gold.” — Joanna Swindin, Lily’s mother

Community on Edge as Police Continue Investigation

Friends described Lily as vulnerable, and police urged the public to report any sightings during the search. At this stage, police do not treat the death as suspicious but continue their inquiries.

This heartbreaking case has shaken Leicester, with the community rallying to support the Higgins family during this dark time.
