A 12-year-old boy has been charged following a shocking attack on a woman in her 60s in Birmingham. The victim was found with serious injuries at a property on Kellett Road, police confirm.
Serious Injuries Spark Police Investigation
West Midlands Police were called to the scene just before 6:15pm on Wednesday, 18 March. The woman remains in the hospital in a serious condition.
Multiple Charges for Youth Suspect
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, faces charges of wounding and sexual assault linked to this incident. He is also charged with theft from last week and intentional strangulation after an alleged street confrontation with another woman last month.
He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Birmingham Youth Court on Tuesday, 24 March.

West Midlands Police said inquiries are ongoing and acknowledged the case has caused alarm locally. Officers will carry out reassurance patrols in the area.
