London Ambulance Service has released a statement following a tragic crash involving a car and a lorry in Crayford. The incident occurred on Thames Road at 10:30 pm on April 27, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Upon receiving the distress call, an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a car trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene to provide assistance.
Tragically, the driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was found injured and pronounced dead shortly after emergency services arrived. His family has been informed of the heartbreaking news.
Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, the severity of the collision resulted in the loss of life. No other individuals involved in the incident required hospitalization.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service expressed their condolences, stating, “We were called at 10:30 pm yesterday evening (April 27) to reports of a car in collision with a lorry on Thames Road, Crayford. Sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, one person died at the scene.”
