A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed on a busy street in a shocking daylight attack that has led to three arrests.

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that a 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two women, both aged 23, have also been detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All three remain in custody for questioning.
A police cordon remains in place around the scene while officers carry out forensic examinations and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox said:
“Multiple police inquiries are ongoing today into what has clearly been a very serious assault on a victim in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
“We realise this incident will cause concern locally, but I want to assure residents we do think this incident was isolated and targeted, and that we have all the necessary resources in the area to investigate what took place.

“Police activity will continue at locations throughout the day, and we are appealing for witnesses.
