Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a car and a cyclist in Edmonton

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a car and a cyclist in Edmonton. Officers were called to Meridian Way, near the junction of Ardra Road, shortly before 4.pm on Friday, 28 February. The cyclist, a 67-year-old man, was found with life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car, a Renault Laguna, stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries. Officers investigating the crash would like to speak to any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have witnessed events before, during or after the collision or have dashcam footage which may assist with the police investigation. Anyone with information, or dashcam footage of the events surrounding the collision, is asked to contact officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command on 020 8597 4874; alternatively call 101 and quote CAD5032/28Feb.
