Late-Night Brawl Ends in Tragedy
Chaos erupted at a Camber Sands holiday park on Friday night when a man was fatally attacked. At around 10.50pm on August 5, police and paramedics rushed to Lydd Road following reports of a violent group argument.
Man, 58, Dies at Scene
Despite frantic efforts by emergency services, a 58-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of Saturday, August 6. His family have been informed of the tragedy.
Six Held Over Suspected Murder
Police swiftly moved to arrest six suspects, all now in custody on suspicion of murder. Authorities insist the incident is isolated, with no ongoing danger to the public.
“Our investigation is at a very early stage,” said Detective Superintendent Jon Hull. “But I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident with no wider risk of harm.”
“Officers are now working to determine the full circumstances, while specialist officers assist the victim’s next of kin.”
