Police investigating assault in Brixton are asking for witnesses to come forward

Police investigating an assault in Brixton are asking for witnesses to come forward. At 03:30hrs on Saturday, 14 April, police were called by London Ambulance Service colleagues after they were flagged down by a member of the public at Effra Road near the junction with Crownstone Road, SW2. A male victim aged in his 30s had been attacked with a glass bottle. He was treated at the scene and then taken to hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing. The suspects, described as two males aged in their 20s, made off from the scene. The person who flagged down an ambulance did not stay at the scene and police are asking for this member of the public to come forward. Officers also believe a male witness was standing at a nearby bus-stop prior to the attack and may have witnessed the incident. Officers are asking these two potential witnesses – and anyone with information that may assist the investigation – to contact Brixton police on 101 quoting 1273/ 14 Apr
