On the afternoon of Friday 5 May the victims – a 69-year-old woman and 79-year-old man from the 1 area – were phoned by scammers posing as Met Police officers. They told the couple they were investigating a bank fraud and that a courier would be sent to their 1 to collect cash in connection with this. A man collected £9,500 at around 4pm the same afternoon. Officers would like to speak to a man matching the following description: • Black • In his mid 20s • 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins tall • Slim build • Short black hair • Wearing a black long sleeved top and dark trousers If you have any information about this incident, please call 101 quoting 44170168125 or contact 1 on 0800 555 111.
