A devastating Haringey stabbing incident has claimed the life of Gregory Castillo Volquez, a 36-year-old Dominican Republic national and father of two, in what investigators are calling a “senseless attack” in North London.

The fatal incident occurred during the early hours of Monday, January 13, 2025, when Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a disturbance at approximately 4:55 AM on Tiverton Road. Despite rapid response from emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, Volquez succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police Investigation Underway

Detective Inspector Jim Barry, leading the Haringey stabbing investigation, confirmed that four suspects – three men and one woman – have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody. “In the early hours of Monday morning, two children tragically lost their father,” DI Barry stated during a press briefing.
