Haringey Horror: Dad Stabbed to Death in Dead of Night
Gregory Castillo Volquez, 36, a devoted dad of two from the Dominican Republic, was brutally stabbed to death in a shocking early morning attack in North London. Police are calling it a “senseless attack” that has left a community reeling.
Fatal Stabbing on Tiverton Road
The tragedy unfolded just before 5am on Monday, January 13, 2025, when officers rushed to Tiverton Road following reports of a disturbance. Despite the swift arrival of police and London’s Air Ambulance, Volquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four Arrested in Murder Probe
Detective Inspector Jim Barry, leading the investigation, confirmed that three men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
“In the early hours of Monday morning, two children tragically lost their father,” DI Barry said during a press briefing, highlighting the heartbreaking fallout.
Community on Edge as Police Step Up Patrols
Haringey residents have been left shaken by the violence. In response, police have increased their presence across the area to reassure locals and maintain order. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
A post-mortem is set for Thursday, January 16, at the North London Mortuary.
