Humberside Police have smashed a massive cannabis operation worth around £350,000 in Scunthorpe, arresting two men and shutting down three illegal grows.

Huge Cannabis Farms Discovered

Officers from the Kinetic Intervention Team raided three properties on Friday, 13 March. Each had been converted into a large-scale cannabis farm. The illicit crops, estimated at a street value of £350,000, were all seized and will be destroyed.

Dangerous Electricity Theft

Police also found that electricity had been stolen at all three addresses to power the grow operations — a serious and dangerous offence.

Two Men in Custody

The two men arrested face charges of producing cannabis and abstracting electricity. Police have urged the public to come forward with any information on drug crimes in the area.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information relating to drugs offences can get in touch with us by ringing 101. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
