A bus collided with a car and subsequently crashed into scaffolding around a new building on Jeffery Street earlier this evening. The incident, which reportedly occurred around 5:45 pm, involved a vehicle believed to have contained an elderly couple.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic, causing delays in the surrounding area as emergency services worked to clear the scene.
A police spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward.
