Car in Collision with Council Bin Lorry in Guildford

One person has been treated by Paramedics and taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision on Worplesdon Road in Guilford this morning involving a silver Jaguar and a Guildford council Waste Truck. Police blocked the road in both directions for a short time whilst Paramedics treated the patient.

The collision happened near to Wendy Cresent. Officers than carried out single lane traffic control. Traffic is backed up and is still very slow on the approach and in the area. Police officers with local residents help managed to push the car into the side of the road to allow traffic to past. The injuries of those involved are not thought to be serious.
