The popular BBC home improvement show, led by Nick Knowles, will be in Grove Park from April 2 to April 10, 2025, with the goal of transforming the home of a local family in need into a functional and comfortable space.

How to Get Involved

Organisers are appealing to local builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, decorators, landscapers, and suppliers willing to donate their time, skills, or materials.
A post from the show’s official Facebook page states:

“We need support from tradespeople, volunteers, and suppliers by donating skills and materials.
Your generosity will help transform the lives of a local family by completely renovating their current space into a usable and fit-for-purpose home.”

“We offer a unique on-site experience, full catering, and the joy of volunteering with your community. Come and join Nick and the team on-site for as many days as you can possibly help with.”

How to Apply

Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to email [email protected] as soon as possible with:

  • Trade/specialty
  • Availability
  • Contact details

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not only allows tradespeople and volunteers to give back to the community but also to work alongside the experienced DIY SOS team in a project that will make a huge difference to a deserving family.
