It’s been a whole year since Nazire Koreli, 55, disappeared near her home in Welling. Her family remains desperate for answers and are appealing directly to the public for help.
Last Seen in Welling – Mystery Grows
Nazire was last spotted near her Welling home in September 2024, but it wasn’t until February 28, 2025, that she was reported missing to the Met Police. Since then, officers have scoured her home and sifted through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage.
In a dramatic development, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of her murder on March 10. However, he has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
Family’s Heartbreaking Appeal
“My world stood still the day I discovered my mother was missing,” Nazire’s daughter said. “She was a beloved teacher and a pillar to her family – a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
“Not a day goes by without questions and pain. We need any information, no matter Howhow small, that might bring us closure. Please, come forward.”
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley stressed the ongoing effort: “It’s been a year with no answers, but we remain hopeful Nazire will be found safe. If you saw her between September 2024 and March 2025, or know anything, contact us immediately.
Nazire is described as slim, with light brown hair and olive skin.”
