Filming has just started on Only Child, a fantastic new six-part comedy series from BBC Comedy and BBC Scotland. This hilarious show, produced by Happy Tramp North, stars the incredible Gregor Fisher (known for Rab C Nesbitt and Love Actually) and the talented Greg McHugh (from The A Word and Fresh Meat) as father and son. The series follows Richard, an aspiring actor and only child, as he returns to his family home in Scotland to take care of his stubborn and ageing father, Ken, played by Fisher.
Filming will take place in Glasgow and various locations in the North East of Scotland over the summer. Only Child, written by Bryce Hart, will be showcased on BBC One and iPlayer, offering a fresh take on neighbourly disputes, inter-generational clashes, and domestic comedy, all centred around the hilarious father-son dynamic of Richard and Ken.
Gregor Fisher adds, “I am delighted to be working with young McHugh on Only Child for the dear old BBC.”
Only Child, a Happy Tramp North production, is set to captivate audiences on BBC One, BBC Scotland, and iPlayer.
