A tragic stabbing incident unfolded on the morning of Tuesday, January 9, 2024, when police were summoned to Old Kent Road, SE1, in response to reports of a stabbing.

London’s Air Ambulance [HEMS] and the London Ambulance Service [LAS] rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from knife injuries.
Despite the tireless efforts of the emergency services to save his life, the victim’s injuries proved fatal, and he tragically passed away at the scene at 7.22am
In connection with this incident, authorities swiftly took action, arresting one man and one woman who currently remain in police custody. A thorough investigation is underway as a crime scene remains secured by cordons.
