A 58-year-old rapist from Folkestone has been locked up for repeatedly abusing his victim over several months.
Lloyd Thomas Found Guilty of Multiple Sexual Offences
Lloyd Thomas, of Risborough Lane, was convicted of five sexual offences, including two counts of rape, three sexual assaults, and harassment. The crimes took place over a three-month period before the victim bravely came forward in November 2024.
Swift Police Action Led to Arrest & Conviction
Kent Police launched a specialist investigation after the victim reported the abuse. Thomas was arrested three days later and denied all charges, but a jury found him guilty at Canterbury Crown Court.
Harsh Sentence Delivered
On Thursday 20 November 2025, Thomas was sentenced to 10 years behind bars, followed by four years on licence.
Detective Constable Gemma Chadwick said: “Thomas is a dangerous sexual predator who subjected his victim to a campaign of dreadful abuse. I am pleased that the victim found the courage to come forward, so that we could investigate Thomas’ crimes and ensure that he was made to face the consequences of his actions. I hope the sentence that has been imposed will help to bring her a sense of closure.”
