Road closures remain in place on the M25 clockwise between Junctions 29 and 30 today (September 8) after a fatal crash involving a lorry and pedestrians. Police and paramedics were called to the scene at approximately 3:56 AM following reports of a collision.

Metropolitan Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="110773">Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the crash involved pedestrians who were standing on the hard shoulder of the motorway when they were struck by the lorry. Two men were treated at the scene, but tragically, one man died despite the best efforts of paramedics. Another man was taken to hospital for further treatment.

London Ambulance Service also issued a statement confirming they sent ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer to the scene. While one patient died, two other individuals were treated and discharged at the scene.

As the investigation continues, road users are advised to avoid the area, and significant delays are expected until the closures are lifted later today.
