A murder investigation is underway after a man was fatally hit by a car in Willesden.
29-Year-Old Arrested in Connection to Tragic Collision
Police arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Thursday, December 4. He remains in custody as detectives dig deeper into the case.
Tragedy Strikes Chapel Close
The fatal incident happened at 12:44pm on Wednesday, December 3, on Chapel Close, Willesden. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after a collision between a vehicle and pedestrians.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Ruben Nunes from Peterborough, was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene. His devastated family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

Police Step Up Patrols, Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, senior officer in the area, said: “This is a distressing incident, and we understand the concern for the local community. Our thoughts are with Ruben’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
Williams added: “Residents will notice an increased police presence while our investigation continues. Please speak with officers if you have any concerns.”
