Emergency services have responded to a serious incident at Elmstead Woods Railway Station, where a person was struck by a train on Platform 4 around midday on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Emergency Response

The British Transport Police (BTP), London Ambulance Service (LAS), and London Fire Brigade (LFB) were all dispatched to the scene following reports of the collision. Paramedics and firefighters worked alongside railway staff to assess the situation and provide emergency care.

A large cordon has been established at the station, and train services through Elmstead Woods have been suspended or delayed while authorities deal with the incident.

Commuter Disruptions

Rail operators have confirmed that services on the Southeastern line have been severely impacted, with passengers advised to check for updates before travelling.
